Terms of Use
The rules for using seaphe.org. The short version: the data is free to use with credit, it comes with no warranty, and it isn’t a substitute for checking with schools and the Board.
Using this site
seaphe.org is run by SEAPHE (“we,” “us”). SEAPHE is operated by Enzo Creationz LLC. By using the site, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site.
What SEAPHE is
SEAPHE is an independent publication with information about nursing programs, mostly California pre-licensure RN programs. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or acting for the California Board of Registered Nursing (BRN), NCSBN, ATI, Elsevier/HESI, ACEN, CCNE, NLN/CNEA or any school we list.
Not professional advice
Everything on SEAPHE is general information. It is not medical, legal, financial or admissions advice, and it doesn’t guarantee admission to any program, a passing NCLEX result or a license. Our content is written by the SEAPHE Editorial Team, and reading it doesn’t create a professional relationship with that nurse or with us. Before you make a decision, confirm the details with the program and the relevant board.
Data and accuracy
Our figures come from public records, mainly the BRN’s published tables and reports. We compile them carefully and cite a source for each figure, but public data can contain errors, lag behind or be revised later, and results from small programs can swing a lot from year to year. If you spot a mistake, please tell us. See our corrections policy.
Using our content
- Data. How you may reuse our data depends on the dataset; see Data licensing below. The suggested credit is under “How to cite this data” on the NCLEX and admissions pages. The underlying BRN records are public.
- Writing and design. Our guides, text, charts and site design belong to SEAPHE. Short quotes with a link are welcome. Please don’t copy whole articles or present our work as your own.
- No endorsement. Don’t suggest that SEAPHE endorses a school, product or service unless we have said so.
Survey submissions
Our admissions survey is anonymous. We don’t ask for your name, and we publish only grouped totals, never an individual answer or result. Small groups are hidden. By submitting, you let us include your answers in those totals. See our privacy policy for how answers are handled.
Data licensing
SEAPHE data falls under two licenses.
- Open: CC BY 4.0. Our NCLEX pass-rate data and our statewide admissions data (applications, acceptances and enrollments from the BRN’s annual school reports), both derived from California Board of Registered Nursing records, plus the charts, embeds and badges built from them and their CSV and JSON downloads, are licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 (CC BY 4.0). You may copy, share and adapt them, including commercially, as long as you credit “SEAPHE Nursing Data, seaphe.org” with a link back to seaphe.org or the page you used.
- All rights reserved. The admissions requirements tables, selection rubrics, prerequisite dataset and survey results that SEAPHE compiles are © Enzo Creationz LLC, all rights reserved. You’re welcome to read them and to quote them with credit to “SEAPHE Nursing Data, seaphe.org”. Please don’t bulk-copy or redistribute them.
The underlying BRN records are public. These licenses cover SEAPHE’s compilation, presentation and downloads, not the government records themselves.
Crawlers, AI and automated access
Search engines and AI crawlers are welcome. Our robots.txt allows them, and llms.txt summarizes the site for AI systems. Please crawl at a reasonable rate and credit SEAPHE when you quote our figures. Don’t try to disrupt the site, get around its security, overload it or submit automated newsletter signups.

Only sign up with an email address you control. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your address.
Outside and affiliate links
We link to schools, the BRN and other sites we don’t control, and we aren’t responsible for their content or practices. SEAPHE has no affiliate links today. If we add them, they will be labeled as our affiliate and sponsorship disclosure describes.
No warranty
The site and its data are provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability and non-infringement. We don’t promise the site will always be available or error-free.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, SEAPHE is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for decisions you make based on the site. Our total liability for any claim related to the site is limited to $100. Some places don’t allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.
Changes
We may update the site and these terms. When we change the terms, we’ll post the new version here and update the effective date. Continuing to use the site after that means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in California.
