# SEAPHE > SEAPHE (Schools, Exams, Accreditation & Programs in Healthcare Education) is an independent, source-cited data site about California pre-licensure registered nursing (RN) programs: first-time NCLEX-RN pass rates by school, nursing school acceptance rates, accreditation and listed cost. Figures come from California Board of Registered Nursing (BRN) public records, retrieved Oct 7, 2026. Content is written by the SEAPHE Editorial Team and reviewed by a practicing registered nurse (RN, BSN). Coverage is California only for now. Pass rates are first-time NCLEX-RN results for the BRN's July 1 to June 30 reporting years. Statewide and multi-year averages are SEAPHE tester-weighted calculations from BRN program-level tables. The BRN does not publish acceptance rates for individual schools; acceptance rates are statewide by program type. seaphe.org previously hosted Project SEAPHE, an unrelated UCLA Law research project (2007–2020); see the research archive. ## Key data pages - [California NCLEX pass rates by nursing school](https://seaphe.org/nclex-pass-rates/): first-time NCLEX-RN pass rates and tester counts for every California RN program, 2020–21 to 2024–25 - [California nursing school acceptance rates](https://seaphe.org/admissions/): qualified applications vs. acceptances by ADN, BSN, ELM and LVN-to-ADN, 2015–16 to 2024–25 - [California nursing schools A–Z](https://seaphe.org/schools/): one profile page per program with NCLEX history, accreditation, retention and cost - [Nursing program finder](https://seaphe.org/program-finder/): filter programs by degree, pass rate, accreditation, sector and cost - [Nursing accreditation explained](https://seaphe.org/accreditation/): BRN approval vs. ACEN, CCNE and CNEA - [Nursing exams hub](https://seaphe.org/exams/): NCLEX-RN, ATI TEAS and HESI A2 - [For journalists](https://seaphe.org/for-journalists/): key statistics with sources, CSV downloads, citation formats and embeddable charts - [NCLEX pass rate badges](https://seaphe.org/badges/): published rules and the California programs that qualify (open programs, 30+ first-time testers, 2024–25) ## Guides - [How to Choose a California BSN Program](https://seaphe.org/guides/how-to-choose-a-california-bsn-program/): A nurse’s checklist for comparing BSN programs on licensure outcomes, accreditation, completion and true cost. - [ADN vs. BSN: Which Nursing Degree Is Right for You in California?](https://seaphe.org/guides/adn-vs-bsn-california/): Community college or university?
