Monterey Peninsula College nursing point system calculator

Monterey Peninsula College ranks ADN applicants on a Phase 1 Maximum Points = 70; Phase 1 + Phase 2 maximum score = 100-point system it publishes. Enter the points each line gives you, using your own stats, to see how the scale adds up. This tool uses only the school’s own rubric (school source, checked Oct 12, 2026). See the Monterey Peninsula College program page for pass rates and requirements.

  1. Enter your points for each line. Read the school’s rule on each line and enter what it gives you, or tick the lines that apply. Some lines have no box; the school’s rule there needs to be worked out by hand.
  2. Review each line. Every line shows the school’s rule and the maximum for that category.
  3. Check the source. Point systems change. Confirm the current version with the school before you apply.
  • This shows your total on the school’s published scale. It doesn’t tell you whether you’ll be admitted: the points needed change every cycle with the applicant pool, and schools don’t publish them.
  • Schools verify points from your transcripts and documents; their count is the one that matters.
  • Some programs combine points with a lottery or interview. Check the school’s source for how it uses the points.

Program: Associate Degree in Nursing (MCCSN RN Program). Cycle: Not published. Published maximum: Phase 1 Maximum Points = 70; Phase 1 + Phase 2 maximum score = 100.

Questions

How many points did you have?

We don’t publish other applicants’ scores or cutoffs, because schools don’t publish them and they change every cycle. The calculator shows only the school’s official scale.

Is the point system the same at every community college?

No. Many use the Chancellor’s Office multi-criteria framework as a base, but each school chooses its categories and weights.

What’s the difference between science GPA and cumulative GPA?

Cumulative GPA covers all your college courses; science GPA usually covers only the science prereqs the school lists (often anatomy, physiology and microbiology). Each school defines which courses count.

Does retaking a prereq affect my points?

At many schools, yes: repeats can cost points or count differently. Check the repeats line on each program’s rubric.
